This is also the approach in Professor Zee's "Quantum Field Theory in a Nutshell" (Princeton University Press, 2003), Chapter I.2, Path Integral Formulation of Quantum Mechanics. For a serious introduction, a good place to start seems to be Barton Zwiebach's “First Course in String Theory”, but the material in A. Leave out the canonical formalism completely. Even though we had classes both in the morning and the afternoon for two weeks there was obviously only a limited amount of time and I had to decide which small part of QFT I was going to present. I am interested in quantum field theory and statistical field theory, although I am not a theoretical physics. You should check out Zee's 'quantum field theory in a nutshell'. I would not attempt this book without first mastering Mahon's work. Zee's “Quantum Field Theory in a Nutshell” looks prerequisite. A most popular book is "Quantum Field Theory in a Nutshell," by String Theorist Anthony Zee. Many courses start with it as . Quantum field theory (QFT) is the everyday tools for theoretical physics.
